Random Butterflies! Empty Random Butterflies!

Post  Rubles Sat Jan 07, 2012 12:20 pm

Right now I feel like I'm going to puke butterflies.

I don't know why, but my palms are sweaty, I'm on edge and I have butterflies.
Nothing happened today, it was a normal day, I went to work and then got a haircut.
There was supposed to be a little party happening tonight but it kind of turned into quiet drinks at my place. People should be arriving in about 40 minutes. They're all close friends, and I never have anxiety around them.

Does this happen to anyone else? Sudden, unexplained feelings of uneasiness?

Happens to me all the time. I suggest laying down, putting on some music that calms you, closing your eyes, and do deep breathing exercises while focusing on nothing but the music itself. that always puts me in a calm trance, even when there's no music.

Definitely happens to me. When it first happened, I started to freak out even more because I couldn't figure out why I felt that way. But now I learned to just take deep breaths to try to calm down and talk to a close friend to get my mind off the uneasy feeling. Doing something you enjoy should help. I'm sure it'll get better for you, try not to worry too much. c: Wish you the best!

Happens to me sometimes, mostly quite mildly to the point where I just drink some water and lay down for a bit, take some deep breaths, etc. and it passes. Nothing too serious.

Good luck and I hope everything goes (or went?) well and that you're okay. :c

It definitely helped, but one of my friends came over while I was lying having my little time out. He was kind of confused but I just said that I wasn't feeling too well and he immediately jumped to my anxiety, so good to know my friends are on top of it.
It was fine! We cooked food and talked and hung about and played pictionary and it was all good ^.^

Thanks for being so helpful everyone, definitely feeling much better; the butterflies seem to have gone Smile

I'm glad it went fine Smile

It does happen to me at times. I guess I worry something might go wrong and I start with the 'what ifs' ...which makes it worse.
