Hey, I'm Tara

Hey there 
This is the first time I've joined a forum, and also the first time I realized that I'm not the only one who has these feelings and worries!
I just turned 20 and have had little or no social interaction at all, throughout my teens. I moved overseas and know almost nobody except the few extended 'family' I have over here. (Step-mothers family really.) I just got a job, so I am interacting with people now, but I am far from normal and can barely keep eye contact or hold a conversation. My family doesn't believe I have a Social Anxiety disorder, putting it down to 'shyness', but I don't think it's that simple.
I'm here to hopefully make friends and maybe at times get advice when I'm feeling particularly panicked.
