Public panic attack.

Today was a bad day. It kinda started okay, I actually liked the way I looked this morning once I had gotten ready. But I had to go visit my Dad today, and we don't exactly have the best relationship. And my stepmother and I really do not get along.

I had to go into the town center to get a few things before I got on the bus to go to my Dads. It was a Saturday, and ram packed in town, so I was already quite nervous. Whilst I had my hands full, my phone rang, so I put my basket on the floor to answer it. I made sure to move myself out of the way of other people. However, a woman with a pram started yelling at me and ramming me with her pram. I just broke, then and there, and had a huge panic attack. I abandoned my shopping and just run into the nearest public toilet. I couldn't breathe (or so it felt like) and I could barely see. I managed to get a text message, full of typos, to my best friend, who was able to ring me and talk me down a little bit.

But it was horrible, and I just wanted to go home, but I had to go to my Dads. I couldn't postpone it because my Dad doesn't believe in Anxiety or depression, and thinks it's all made up. So I had to put on a brave face and go.

Luckily I could leave after a while, and took that opportunity ASAP (after my stepmother told me she was glad one of my degus had died....)

I'm so sorry, that sounds awful. I'm glad you were able to contact your best friend and have that support at least.

aww. sorry you had to go through that. i've never had a panic attack before so i don't know what it's like but i'm glad you had the support of a friend. what's a degus?
